Amelia Mafé

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Ms. Mafé has over 30 years of experience in commercial aviation, beginning her career at the NIAR wind tunnel at Wichita State University as a Graduate Research Assistant before joining Cessna Aircraft in 1992 where she performed several engineering functions starting as an Aerodynamics Engineer followed by Flight Test Engineer, Manufacturing Liaison Engineer, and Customer product support. Nine years later, she joined United Airlines as a Maintenance Supervisor in the Flight Line at San Francisco Airport. In 2002, Ms. Mafé joined Boeing as a Field Service Representative covering several bases in Europe. After four years, she joined the Technical Department at Pegasus Aviation Leasing where she oversaw technical projects until its acquisition by AWAS in late 2007. In 2008, Ms. Mafé joined ILFC as a Maintenance Reserves and Forecast Director. Prior to ILFC’s sale to AerCap, she joined Sky Leasing as a Marketing VP in the Americas until 2014. She joined Altavair in 2019 and is primarily responsible for maintenance cashflow modeling and analysis and the upkeep of the Altavair knowledge base of costs and intervals for major maintenance. Ms. Mafé graduated from Wichita State University in 1992 with a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering and an MBA from Friends University. She obtained her Private Pilot and A&P Licenses while working at Cessna Aircraft.
